Application of UV-VIS-NIR spectroscopy in membrane separation processes for fast quantitative compositional analysis: A case study of egg products

Membrane separation technology is achieving broad applications in research, food and pharmaceutical industry. In this study, the application of UV-VIS-NIR spectroscopy to quantify composition fractions obtained a membrane process was assessed. An egg filtration employed as case study develop predictive models for rapid determination dry matter, protein cholesterol feed (retentate filtrate). Whole plasma yolk by centrifugation, white were tangential filtrated using different pore size materials. Transmittance spectra showed significant differences between samples. Cholesterol, matter proteins predicted with good statistical significance (RPDEV over 3). combined chemometric tools demonstrates be an efficient green method analysis process. It reliable, non-destructive, quick environmentally friendly. Moreover, it can applied on-line real-time quantitative compositional analysis.
